The course consists of two sub-courses:
a) German grammar 4 – lectures
b) German grammar tutorials
Selected topics in German syntax (detailed examination of sentence elements, sentence analysis) and morphology (the pronoun es, article usage, etc.). Special emphasis will be placed on the relationship between structure, meaning, and function in comparison to Slovene, whereby students are encouraged to develop effective translation strategies.
The lectures are complemented by grammar lab classes in which the students perform exercises to consolidate their knowledge of the structures dealt with and some more demanding aspects of morphology.
